It seems pretty clear that I would use the "Remix" argument by Lawrence Lessig. He discusses copyright law, patent law, and how it should be decided and the problems that it encounters. This is exactly what my topic is on, so I will find a lot of information researching Lawrence Lessig, and using Dr. Baldwins slides about Lawrence Lessig. Also it would seem wise to dabble in the "what is an author" argument, to get a more philosophical and questioning stance in my paper. The reason why I want the tone of questioning and uncertainty in my paper is because copyright law in regards to multimedia is uncertain and vague. The combination of the strict legal laws of Lessig, and the philosophical argument of Fucco will compliment my paper nicely.
The themes and arguments of my project are: What is copyright, and how can or should it be monitured in regards to multimedia? Also what makes somthing "yours", and how can that be made into a structure or outline that people follow?
